William IX (Occitan: Guilhèm de Peitieus or Guilhem de Poitou, French: Guillaume de Poitiers; 22 October 1071 – 10 February 1126), called the Troubadour, was the Duke of Aquitaine and Gascony and Count of Poitou (as William VII) between 1086 and his death. He was also one of the leaders of the Crusade of 1101.

Though his political and military achievements have a certain historical importance, he is best known as the earliest troubadour—a vernacular lyric poet in the Occitan language—by whom some work survives.

Dangerosa de l'Isle Bouchard (1079-1151) era la hija de Bartolomé de L'Île-Bouchard. Fue la abuela materna de la célebre Leonor de Aquitania. Fue también amante del abuelo paterno de sus nietas Guillermo IX de Aquitania.​ Como amante de Guillermo el Trovador, fue conocida como La Maubergeonne por la torre que él construyó para ella en su castillo en Poitiers. Dangerosa fue un sobrenombre que recibió por su carácter seductor; su nombre de pila pudo haber sido Amauberge (Gerberga).
